K-POP Museum, located in the Gyeongju Bomun Complex, is Korea’s first museum specializing in pop music. This museum has permanent and planned exhibitions of rare original music albums released ever since the Korean Empire period when pop music started until the 2000s when K-POP made a global hit.
The museum building has a floor area of 1,090 square meters and four floors, comprising the 100 Years History of Korean Pop Music Exhibition, 100 Years History of Sound Art Science Exhibition, and Planned Exhibition Hall. The Planned Exhibition Hall and Education Room are on the basement floor, Music Cafe and Music Appreciation Hall on the first floor, and Permanent Exhibition Hall and Yoo Chung-Hee Music Space on the second and third floors.
The museum has an outdoor parking lot with about 100 parking slots and an outdoor performance stage with over 500 seats.
K-POP has always shared the joys, anger, sorrows, and pleasures of our lives in modern and contemporary history.
The K-POP Museum is a place to exhibit precious 70,000 pop music relics and a leading space for arts and culture in the region that runs various programs related to modern and contemporary history, planned exhibitions, family events, performances, humanities lectures, and experiential activities.
The K-POP Museum will strive to make an open museum that approaches and communicates with visitors.
Anyone can get involved in our efforts to write the future history of pop music.
We ask for your interest and active support.
Thank you.
